10 Year Celebration of Youthreach Kiltimagh
This event was held in December 2005 to celebrate 10 years of Youthreach.
Every past student and staff member and local groups were invited back
to attend this special celebration. The centre produced a magazine with
articles and stories from people involved in the ten years. Refreshments
were supplied by the Home Economics classes. A memorable feature of
the day was seeing many of the old faces and many ex-students now doing
well for themselves. To mark this occasion Alan Murphy, one of the first
students in the centre along with the then CEO Joe langan planted a
tree in front of the building.
Students
When we opened in 1995 we were a 25 student centre. This changed in
2001 when we increased to a 30 student centre. We have roughly over
300 students pass through our doors since we opened. Two of those students
are now deceased Seamus Mongan and Seamus Walsh. May they rest in peace.
